Horizon Zero Dawn PC version encountered a series of mess
From being cracked after just a day of release, to technical glitches that lead to a smoother game experience, Horizon Zero Dawn is a controversial name over the past few days.
Launched in 2017, Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the blockbuster dedicated to the PlayStation 4 (PS4) platform, which makes a significant contribution to Sony’s exclusive game strategy. However, after only 3 years, Horizon Zero Dawn unexpectedly launched on PC on August 7. Rumor has it that the launch of the Horizon Zero Dawn on PC is meant to effect and engage the community waiting for a sequel to the game that is scheduled to release exclusively on PS5 in 2021.
Regardless of Sony’s deep-seated intentions, the Horizon Zero Dawn’s invasion of the PC platform can be seen as a very notable highlight of 2020. Because of its excellent quality and reception. Being highly appreciated from the professionals, Horizon Zero Dawn is obviously very much awaited by gamers.
However, when it was just officially released one day, the hackers easily cracked the game and released a free pirated version of Horizon Zero Dawn. Temporarily overlooking the factor of security, this incident of course makes those who have to spend money to own the game feel a little dissatisfied.
Not stopping there, Horizon Zero Dawn continues to become a controversial topic when the game is technically poorly optimized. This leads to the lack of smooth operation of the game, and constant stuttering in the context of hardware requirements. Notably, another PS4 game released on another PC, Death Stranding (using the same Graphics Engine with Horizon Zero Dawn) delivered a performance in contrast to the utterly praised optimism.
This incident created a wave of outrage among PC gamers, prompting developer Horizon Zero Dawn to update the fix after just a few hours. However, the situation has not completely improved and as a result, Horizon Zero Dawn is receiving many negative reviews on Steam and Metacritic.
