Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Gameplay Captured on PC?
Square Enix recently released a video thanking the patience of fans for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and left an interesting detail for PC gamers.
It’s been 23 years since Final Fantasy 7 debuted on the PlayStation, and fans have been waiting for Final Fantasy 7 Remake to be roughly half that number. Now the game has officially been released, and to celebrate, Square Enix has posted a video to thank fans for their patience. The video is quite simple, with the thanks and sharing of producer Yoshinori Kitase sending to the player on the music and visual background of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. However, the gameplay in the video has made it interesting. Between the 4 and 8 seconds, viewers will see the words “Gameplay Captured on PC“.
This is quite strange when Final Fantasy 7 Remake is only released on PS4 today, but it coincides with information about the possibility of a PC version for the game. There was a time when Square Enix mentioned that the exclusive release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PlayStation 4 was limited. While Square Enix does not talk about other platforms that the game can release, with this video, fans can confirm that PC is among them. The official timeline is still a mystery, but Square Enix claims the game will be available exclusively on the PlayStation in about a year, so at least until April 10, 2021.
At that time, the next generation of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X emulators were released, raising the question of whether Square decided to launch the first chapter of the Remake on them. The publisher has planned to bring other Final Fantasy games to the Xbox, so it would be a waste not to introduce an upgraded version of one of the best parts to the next console. As for PlayStation 5, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Episode 2 will probably be developed for it, so the port of chapter 1 is understandable, of course, unless of course Final Fantasy 7 Remake becomes one of the few titles. PS4 is backward compatible with PS5.
